Motion: The Activity of God by Gail Gupton God is the wave bringing itself to the shoreline; and with the wave comes fish and shells and sea life for those on the shore. The ocean currents are in place right now, bringing tomorrow's tide. In other words, the principle of supply is always in motion, even when it's beyond human sight. The dollar bill you may need in your pocket is moving toward you by God's grace right now, as you read these words. Because God knows "ye have need of these things..." I have a friend who often becomes fearful when she can't see next week's or next month's bills being paid. Although she's primarily optimistic, being self-employed, she periodically is overcome with worry of 'not having enough'. Enough of what? For sure, one can never not have enough of God. One can never not have enough spiritual truth within their consciousness to sustain them and guide them and protect them from any situation. Jesus stated a simple grain, as small as a mustard seed, is sufficient. Society has taught us to see the sun as rising and setting; but in reality, the sun is always shining and our perception of it changes by appearance. The sun NEVER comes up or goes down - our appearance of it simply changes as the earth rotates. So it is with God. God is ALWAYS present, bestowing grace on all creation for eternity. As an omnipotent God, a secondary god of lack or fear does not exist in any situation. Likewise, as an omnipresent God, a secondary god of lack or fear does not exist in space or time. My friend agrees with me when I speak the Truth to her, but quickly forgets it when a seeming problem arises. Which is why spiritual consciousness is important in our earthly journey; that we become consciously aware of God's presence, power, and wisdom and that we maintain a conscious realization of this Truth as we go about our daily activities. Somewhere in Joel Goldsmith's writings he mentions going out into world to tend to our daily duties with "Thank you, God, that you go before me" and "Thank you, God, for staying behind me" - or something to that nature. And remember, "The place whereon thou standest is holy ground". With each footstep we take, physically and spiritually, God is there. Appearances are just that - appearances. Some call seeming appearances 'illusions'. But again, remembering Goldsmith, if we know they're illusions, what power do they have? None. The earth turns. The tides change. The trees grow. The money flows. It's all God in motion. All is well. |
