THE BUSINESS OF ISNESS, by Gail Gupton
"Behold, now is the accepted time . . " (From the Bible). Of course, in reality, Now is the ONLY time. God never was a "has been" or a "will be". God is always in the present tense, which is the only tense there is. In the eternal realm there is no time.

My (now late) husband, Bob, used to have posted on our web site a long time ago, "There is a realm of consciousness in which all knowledge of creation and existence resides. The life of thinking is replaced with a life of being. Any word followed by "IS" initiates the real Truth of its meaning. Life becomes more than just the human experience while adding to the fullness of our purpose in this life. All discords melt away as we are separated from the false concepts of our reasoning."

And so, when we think in the present tense, we have to ponder on what it is that we hold in our consciousness. Whether it be something from the past that we're hanging on to and ruminating about - or perhaps it's something in the future that we hope to have or to accomplish, or some negative that we fear will come about. Meditating on what is Truth dissolves the things and conditions and situations one dreads. Only meditating on what God IS, right now (always and forever now) dissolves the concerns of the human existence.

A few months ago, Bob had a vision of what I should do in the event he had to leave my physical presence. Each day since then that goal has been drawn unto me, without effort. In recognizing that God is doing the work, that God planted in me when He brought me into expression everything needed for my work and purpose here, I have discovered hidden abilities. New ideas pop up when I least expect them. God is fulfillment and the vision seen a few months back is fulfilled and is continuing to be fulfilled as each new day arrives. The goal was to have an online vintage jewelry business that I can work alone. Truly, God has performed the thing that was appointed for me. (Job:23).

You may recollect Jesus' words, "I am about my Father's business". Remember, God is omni-action. God is the activity of one's business and fruitful activity manifests when one maintains his or her identity as a God being, not a human being.

Being is always in the present tense. Meditate on just that one word. BEING. What revelation comes to you? Still the mind. Eliminate all the adjectives and synonyms you've learned over the years. Discard all concepts of what you "think" the word means. BEING. BEING. BEING. When the spiritual understanding awakens you, rest in it and be at peace.

As Omni-action, God is the activity of one's whole life. However, only as one recognizes that Truth, as one might recognize he has buried treasure in the back yard, can he benefit from his discovery. Do not stop with business, as I have previously mentioned. God is the activity of harmonious relationships, of settled disputes, of unimpaired mobility. God is the activity of all things - at all time.

As Omnipotence, God is the only power. Not a power to do something over something else, or to something or someone else. God never destroys that which He created and it would be foolishness, indeed, for one to ask. God is that which empowers the seed to sprout, the airplane to fly, the vocalist to sing. God is that which empowers the wave to furl, the cloud to float, the child to grow. Again, the words are, God IS . . .

As Omnipresence, God is always here, where each one of us is. ". . .for the place where thou standest is holy ground" (Acts:33). With every breath, God is being that breath. With every sigh, God is being that sigh. With every step, God is being that step. When one closes his or her eyes for a restful night's sleep, God is being the head on the pillow. "I am come, that ye might have life, and have it more abundantly".

As Omniscience, God is knowing all things. God is the wisdom we impart when expressing ourselves in written or spoken languages. God is the teacher when we discover knowledge that before had been unknown to us. God is the harmony of musical notes that ring beautiful to our ears. God knows exactly what He is and when we know it, too, we become one with God.

Most people think of God as something outside of themselves who they can go to to get help. They pray to God, afar off, and hope He hears them. Sometimes, people feel the presence of God and then it quickly vanishes into thin air, much like steam dissipates from a pot of boiling water.

To feel that oneness with God, keep God in your consciousness. Think on spiritual things. Meditate on the nature of God. I know I repeat my message over and over in these newsletters, but it is the Truth that sets us free and sometimes one just has to be reminded.

In the meantime, I hope you will all visit the new venture put before me.

All is well.
