Christ Is Born by Gail Gupton

Driving along in the car the other day had me humming Christmas carols that were playing on the car radio. The songs were a mixture of serious religious lyrics and child-like whimsical tunes.

I love the holiday spirit; it's the time of year when friendly cheer seems more rampant. Unfortunately, it's short lived in a world filled with materialism.

Christmas is actually a year-'round event, albeit unknown. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Christ. Christ, or the Spirit of God, was not limited to Jesus.

The earthly mission of Jesus, as a Messiah, was to awaken the world and mankind to his/her true relationship to God, to our heavenly Father. (And, remember, heaven is within.)

The Messiah was to deliver a message to humanity. Was the message heard and received? Or does the world simply worship the messenger?

We are all 'sons' of God and the Christ dwells in each of us upon our realization of it. Every day someone in this world does awaken to their true identity and when that happens, the Christ is consciously born.

Yet, again, every day is Christmas when a child is born; as each human birth is God appearing as a new life form. God births himself and the Spirit of God (Christ) is born on earth.

Look around at your family and friends. Look at your neighbors and people in your community and ask yourself, "What do I see?"

If you don't see the fulfillment of Christ within each one, you may want to re-examine your spiritual understanding of God. The errors of the world are based on one false belief and only one. That ONE is the 'belief' in a separation from God.

"I and my Father are one", Jesus recounted over and over. The "I" of one's "i"dentity is God. There is no other!! "I am the Lord and there is none else," Isaiah realized many centuries before the birth of Jesus. (Isa:45:5)

With your realization of this same Truth, the Christ is born. Every day is a Christmas Day!
