| THE MANIFESTATION OF PRINCIPLE, by Gail Gupton |
|
Oh, happy day! Spring has arrived here in the United States. Tiny, little pale fuzzy green buds have pushed themselves out from hardened empty brown sticks. I look upon them with amazement. Not in wonder about this miracle, but with recognition of the Infinite invisible manifesting itself; with the recognition of God. As a witness of life, if you will. Can a seed push itself up and out of the ground? It certainly doesn't have arms and legs to use as a pushing rod. What makes a seed suddenly come to life? Most people look upon nature as being from God, not as God appearing. But in contemplation of the principle of nature, one will clearly see it is God appearing as life - abundant life. We're all part of it, individually and collectively. Every new life that comes forth, whether a leaf or a bug or a child, is God appearing as that form. But we mustn't stop with form. God appears as the Principle of all activity and substance. Every idea born of spiritual substance is destined to be fulfilled. Fruition is a natural activity of Principle. Just think about it for a moment. First came the realization of the principle of aeronautics, then came the manifestation of airplanes. First came the realization of the principle of microchips, then came the manifestation of computers. Every realization fulfils itself through an activity of form. So, God is the activity also, because God is All (Almighty). This may seem hard to grasp and to demonstrate for some people. In the perception of spiritual principle comes ideas which, when acted upon, bring fulfillment of that idea. When ignored, the fulfillment never occurs to the individual who ignored it - much like human life when one is frustrated with appearances and simply retreats in fear or depression. Seeing beyond the appearance and into the infinite invisible Presence, one can be assured activity is ongoing, even in its dormancy state. Little green buds could never appear if there wasn't something going on beneath that we can't see. Spiritual living is more than faith. It's more than positive affirmation. It's knowing assuredly. And, in the knowing, fear and apprehension are non-existent. One sees God being everything and being everywhere, visible and invisible. One sees God as the activity of everything, visible and invisible. We can know this about every area of our lives. Peace ascends in the assured knowing that God is being perfection wherever we are and whatever is ongoing in our lives. The human mind, conditionally, wants to be in control. Psychological impressions have led us to believe we have things to be afraid of - the unknown. Often, we're afraid to make that sales pitch, or to travel far from our comfort zone known as home. We're often afraid we have something about our bodies to get rid of or to fix. Sometimes, we're even in fear to lay our head down on the pillow at the end of the day in rest. Fear is always the conclusion of the human mind's sense of separation from God. Knowing God is complete in its perfection allows us to remember this fact as we go about our daily business. What was before invisible, becomes visible in all its beauty and abundance. We step out the door each morning with a new awareness of life and with the expectancy of perfection being manifested throughout each day. Spring comes forth naturally, along with new spring in each step we take.
